> 2002 Reports AA-EVP ParaNews for September 2002 Face on Church wall appears in ITC experiment. In the June 2002 report, we reported on a face on the wall of the Spiritualist Desert Church in Las Vegas, Nevada. Little did we know that, by the time this report came out in the Summit, the church would be closed for relocation. The Rev. Catherine Stewart (Kit) and her congregation were concerned about having to relocate, and in doing so, having to leave the picture of the lady on the church wall. However, the rent had become too costly for the church. Kit approached the woman who was to rent the space and let her know how much the face meant to everyone. She asked that, if the wall was to be removed for the next tenant, could the church please have it.
Before the church was to close, the congregation did a circle and mediation and ask the lady in the picture if she would move with members in the congregation. They also asked if the lady would appear to other people. The Spiritualist Desert Church held their last service in the space on May 26, 2002. On the evening of May 27 in Reno, Nevada, we held our development circle. That evening we did a class on Electronic Voice Phenomena (EVP) and Instrumental TransCommunication (ITC). At the end of the meeting, the group conducted an ITC experiment together, first meditating and then asking for those on the other side to bring their images through the video loop. (This is the Klaus Schrieber ITC method in which a video camera is aimed at a television set without an antenna, and the output of the camera is connected to the input of the TV in a continuous feed back loop.) There were many faces that came through during the experiment but the last video frame was the real surprise. The minute that I saw this one particular face, I immediately shouted, “Look, it is the Lady on Kit’s church wall!” We were unaware that the congregation had asked the lady to appear to others. Although I immediately recognized the lady, as you can see in the pictures shown here (ITC Picture on left), the picture of the face on the wall that was published in the Summit and the video ITC picture, are not exactly alike. You can see the pictures in color on the NSAC Department of Phenomenal Evidence web site at here. About EVP and ITC. Electronic Voice Phenomena or EVP is the recording of paranormal voices on tape or other kinds of recording media. These voices are not normally heard until the recording is played back. When those on the other side started using technology to have direct communication through radios and telephones, in other words, two way communication, and when they started using other types of technology such as video recorders, televisions, computers, and fax machines to send pictures and messages, the term Instrumental TransCommunication or ITC was coined. You can view some examples of video ITC on the AA-EVP website at http://aaevp.com. Please understand that these are paranormal pictures and are not as clear as a physical world photograph. Essay to be published. An essay written by Tom Butler titled, Electronic Voice Phenomena: A Tool for Validating Personal Survival, will be published in the October 2002 issue of The Journal of Religious and Psychical Research. The Journal is published by the Academy of Religion and Psychical Research, PO Box 614, Bloomfield, CT06002, www.lightlink.com/arpr/ From the synopsis: Electronic Voice Phenomena (EVP) is briefly described with emphasis on experimental practice. A conceptual foundation is provided, on which a hypothesis is discussed describing the relationship of EVP to personal survival after the change called death. Emphasis is placed on the relationship of EVP to mediumship. |
