 Old
technique revisited:
Many of you are aware of the method of spirit photography in which a sheet
of photographic film is held against the solar plexus and then developed
to reveal pictures from the other side. While this is a relatively old
idea, we have seldom seen it effectively executed, we believe, because few
people have the necessary chemicals or know the actual procedure. We
recently found with interest that Maryse and John Locke of France have
used this technique with success. Here is their procedure: “We use glossy
black and white photographic paper (Ilford 5 x 7 inch, multi-grade IV
paper; Catalogue #176 9881-66 B570). In a darkroom illuminated by a
darkroom light (maybe a red light in a bathroom), place a sheet of photographic paper in an
envelope made of black art paper and seal so that no light can reach the
paper inside. For a group, place names on the paper and on the envelopes.
Then place the envelope next to the skin over the Solar Plexus and leave
for four to six hours, after which you should remove the paper in the
darkroom, and develop and fix the paper using standard chemicals. Again,
we used Ilford.”
An example of one of the Locke’s work
is shown here. The picture on the left is the whole piece of paper, while
the one on the right is just the upper-right portion of the paper. In it,
you should be able to make out what appears to be a face looking to your
right. The Locke’s believe the feature is of one of their guides.
Table Tipping.
It is rare to see an article on Table Tipping. However, the October 2003
issue of Fate Magazine ran an excellent article about how this
method of spirit communication was first used by the author to contact the
spirit of a man who had died in her store, and then later, to contact
friends and family members on the other side. The author, Debra Johnson,
tells how you can learn to “Table” at home.
Zero Point Energy.
According to Tijn Touber, one of the first scientists to recognize that
the Zero Point Field could be the missing link for our understanding of
the universe was the Hungarian systems expert Ervin Laszlo. In his book,
The Creative Cosmos, Laszlo writes that the field is more than a
mass of shimmering energy in the background of our existence. According to
Laszlo, the Zero Point Field is an information carrier. “This quantum
vacuum is the origin of mind and matter – a blueprint of the universe.
Even our own memories are not stored in our brains, but are stockpiled
like holographic information in the field. Our brains are mainly receivers
and processors of this information. When they resonate with certain
frequencies they gain access to specific information.”

Comment:
Zero Point Field (ZPF) is much the same concept as Einstein’s Universal
Constant and is seen as the energetic difference between the zero energy
expected to be found in an absolute vacuum and the energy actually found
there. In living systems, the ZPF bears a strong resemblance to the
Morphic Field, which is thought to permeate reality and govern the
formation of objects of reality, including our physical body. Edgar
Mitchell, founder of IONS, proposes a Quantum Holographic field that is at
least a kissing cousin to ZPF. Scientists are increasingly recognizing
that there is a field of “influence” permeating reality that holds past
present and future, our memory and tells our cells how to arrange
themselves into our living body. We, as Self, are part of this field and
are able to influence its operation even as we are being influenced.
While the scientific community is
grudgingly sidestepping into accepting the concept of a universal
intelligence, few amongst them have embraced the existence of Infinite
Intelligence or personal survival, two concepts that are the inevitable
result of the existence of the TPF.
Advancement of Science Annual Meeting.
You may recall from the February 2004 DPE Report that Peter Fenwick has
asked twenty-five hospitals to place pictures around their cardiac units
to try and prove that Out of Body Experiences are real. At the annual
meeting of the British Association for the Advancement of Science, he has
told reporters about a scientific study in which the number of women in a
clinic in Korea, who conceived after being implanted with fertilized eggs,
doubled when groups elsewhere prayed for them.
In the same article, it was noted that
Robert Morris, a professor of parapsychology at the
University of Edinburgh, said that there was evidence that voice, touch
and sight were not the only means of communication and that experiments
had shown that people who were particularly sensitive could communicate
mind to mind.

Meditation is Good Medicine.
Researchers at the University
of California, San Francisco have evidence that Buddhists are happier and
calmer than other people. Tests on their brains showed that the parts
associated with good moods and positive feelings are more active, because
of the meditation they do. Researchers say that meditation that the
Buddhists do can change the amygdale, an area of the brain which controls
fear memory and this is why they are less likely to be as shocked,
surprised or angry as other people.
At the
University of Wisconsin, scientists scanning Buddhists’ brains found
activity in the left prefrontal lobes. This area of the brain is linked
with positive emotions, and self-control. The tests show this area of
their brains is constantly lit up, and isn’t just affected when they’re
meditating, meaning the effect lasts for a long time afterwards.

Learn to Be Lucky
– We told you last year about U.K. researcher Richard Wiseman who has
spent 10 years studying lucky and unlucky people. Wiseman gave lucky and
unlucky people a newspaper and asked both groups to tell him how many
photographs were inside. He placed a large message half way through the
newspaper which read, “Tell the experimenter that you have seen this and
win £250.” The lucky people tended to find the message while the unlucky
ones did not. Wiseman found that lucky people encounter chance
opportunities, while unlucky people don’t. He determined that unlucky
people were more tense and depressed and thought that this might be
because they expected the worst and that this disrupted their ability to
notice what was going on around them.
Wiseman has been able to train people
to be luckier. He trains people to be open to new experiences and the
breaking of their normal routine. He advises, “Spend a few moments each
day remembering things that went well. Visualize yourself being lucky
before an important meeting or telephone call. Luck is very often a
self-fulfilling prophecy.”

It’s more than Laughter.
A Japanese study conducted by Dr. Keiko Hayashi shows that diabetics can
process sugar better if they laugh during a meal. Laughter has also been
shown to help high blood pressure, stimulate the nervous system, heighten
the immune system, release natural painkillers and make the heart
stronger.

AA-EVP Conference.
The American Association of Electronic Voice Phenomena is sponsoring a
conference in Reno, Nevada, June 3-6, titled, “Communicating with the
Other Side.” Speakers include American EVP pioneer Sarah Estep, The
Reverend Robert Egby, publisher of the Parapsychic Journal, Dennis
Hauck, author of such books as Haunted Places: The National Directory,
The Emerald Tablet: Alchemy for Personal Transformation, Mark Macy,
ITC pioneer and author of Miracles in the Storm. There will be
workshops, including one lead by The Rev. Barbara Thurman, and of course,
we will speak and lead a workshop about Video ITC. Expect to learn how to
record Electronic Voice Phenomena and how to use it in your life for
spirit communication. Learn details about the conference at
