What is the AA-EVP?
The American Association of Electronic Voice
Phenomena (AA-EVP) is a nonprofit educational association that is
dedicated to the support of people who are interested in or who are
studying Electronic Voice Phenomena (EVP) and other forms of Instrumental
TransCommunication (ITC). This website offers examples,
techniques and concepts concerning these phenomena.
EVP
are anomalous, intelligible speech recorded in or produced by electronic
devices, and for which no currently understood physical explanations can
account.
The
study of EVP concerns unexpected voices found
in recording media or heard as an output of devices capable of
processing voice, and is studied as a form
of after death communication. ITC is
a newer term that includes all of the ways these unexpected voices and
images are collected through technology, including EVP. Of the
many hypotheses designed to explain these phenomena, the Survival
Hypothesis has been found to be most effective in answering the
evidence, and therefore, the most useful for designing research
protocols.
What is the Survival Hypothesis?
People
report experiences such as hauntings events or EVP, and these experiences can be verified
and often replicated as objective events. Careful examination of these reports has not produced
explanations to account for them based on currently understood science. In order
to develop experimental protocols that might lead to better understanding of
these reported phenomena, it is necessary to speculate that there may be
physical and or nonphysical processes that are not currently understood by
mainstream science. The Survival Hypothesis is designed to pose the question:
"What if there is more to reality than has been
documented?
If there is more, what would it look like, how would it behave and how might it be
studies?"

The
Survival Hypothesis
holds that people are etheric personalities able to exist in the
physical aspect of reality because of the physical body. When the physical body
"dies," or when the person is in some way distracted from the physical,
personality changes its point of view back to its more natural awareness in the
etheric aspect of reality. In
effect, the hypothesis proposes that people exist before and after
this lifetime.
Current
research is showing that there is empirical support for the Survival Hypothesis,
and that there is a clear need for further study. The implications to humanity
in general, and specifically to science, are profound. At the very least, the
new questions posed by current research foretell a new view of reality that
promises to make these phenomena common-place and no more mysterious than is the
rest of our world.
Who Becomes a Member
of the AA-EVP?
In practical terms, all AA-EVP members are experimenters seeking to
understand the evidence before them. Many have collected very
evidential messages, and are therefore inclined to accept that they
are receiving messages from outside of our physical reality.
Other members remain skeptical, but persist in experimentation with
the sure knowledge that, whatever is causing the phenomena, it must be
understood.
As you will see in this website, the AA-EVP is not about religion, but it is about sharing concepts, finding ways to use EVP
and ITC to alleviate the grief of
losing a loved one to the “Other Side” and finding better ways to communicate across the veil. The
Articles section includes many articles that will help you get
started and try different ways to work with these phenomena, while the
Phenomena Examples section will give you an idea of what to look for in your own experiments.

The AA-EVP has certified four
experienced and reliable members to act as proxy sitters. In that
way, they are able to attempt contact with your loved one via EVP.

(The AA-EVP does not
set rates, but please be aware that this is a labor-intensive
service.)

The Association was founded in 1982 by Sarah Estep. It is currently directed by
Tom and Lisa Butler and is now a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. The AA-EVP membership includes people living in over twenty countries who record paranormal voices, pictures and information from friends and loved ones on the other side through
audio recorders, telephones, television, computers and video recorders.
We invite you to explore this website with an open mind. Find out about EVP and ITC. See what members have discovered. You will find sufficient information about
EVP and ITC techniques to test these ideas for yourself. If you have a well-developed sense of curiosity, we know you will want to know more about these most
fascinating phenomena.

Welcome and have fun!
